Evolving from previous research in Ivory Park, the project sought to identify what form of infrastructure could be considered to sustain economic renewal on the township in light of the limited services and irregular land arrangements.  The current status of land systemically frustrates change in these contexts. A series of sites responded to specific existing socio-economic activity that formed part of the larger renewal area. Using a modular system of building elements, including containers, customized spatial configurations were developed to each project site. A fundamental objective was to encourage life on the street and enable entrepreneurial activity and the innovation that centers on it.
