The growing demand for secure livelihoods and food security in the inner city initiated a brief that asked for a farming system to be retrofitted to a abandoned building. Through conceptualizing the food market as financial stock-exchange, a large exchange courtyard is created by enclosing with a retractable roof a central space along which all the related farming systems work. The circulation of goods, produce and people inform the ordering, which allows for efficient logistical operations and drive-through collections.
