TEACHING

The necessity to centre our practice through research highlights a curiosity of this time/place and the need to locate our speculative efforts in something more substantial than opinion. There’s a sense that we occupy a bewildering moment in history which warrants a rigorous scrutiny – to decipher fact from fiction and threat from opportunity. It is through research that we are able to frame, with evidence, new insights of a city – through mapping and drawing. Research allows the insights to find new experimental ways to explore these possibilities through design – yielding exciting new formularies in architecture and urbanism. Navigating between commercial interests and scholastic pursuits, the practice is able to contribute to and between these binaries. We advance our research interests through private commissions, teaching and writing.
