TEACHING

Teaching forms a foundational part of the practice. There is a reciprocal relationship between teaching and practice, with each continually reinforcing the other. Hard-earned insights from practice are brought into the academy to ground enquiries, while the academy provides a space for these ideas to be tested, theorised, and experimented with—ultimately informing the work of the studio. The aim is to develop tools and methods of exploration, representation, and critical thinking that cultivate new forms of practice and practitioners capable of engaging with the complexities of the African city through architecture.
